Morocco’s September 2026 senior squad contained 29 players: four goalkeepers, ten defenders, eight midfielders and seven forwards. Coach Mohamed Ouahbi selected the group for the opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the early-October international window.
This is a dated squad gallery, not a permanent list of every player eligible for Morocco. Injuries, suspensions, form and tactical choices can change a call-up from one window to the next. The names and position groups below follow CAF’s official 17 September squad announcement.
| Squad group | Players |

Which Morocco Squad Is This?
This gallery covers the 29-player selection announced on 17 September 2026, after the World Cup and before Morocco’s first 2027 AFCON qualifiers. It should not be confused with the 26-player World Cup squad announced in May. FIFA’s official World Cup squad article records that earlier tournament group.
The September list showed both continuity and turnover. Bounou, Hakimi, Mazraoui, Aguerd, Ounahi, Diaz and Saibari remained familiar senior names, while Abdellah Ouazane, Soufian El Faouzi and Yassir Zabiri were among the younger additions highlighted by CAF.
For the next Morocco match, check the newest announcement from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation’s senior-team section. A player’s appearance in this gallery confirms selection for this dated window only; it does not guarantee selection, fitness or a starting place in a later fixture.
Real Photos and AI Illustrations
The cover and 25 player cards use reusable photographs from Wikimedia Commons. Each card links to its file page and license. The images were cropped to a consistent portrait format, resized and converted to WebP; those presentation changes do not alter the underlying event shown.
No suitable reusable Commons portrait was located for Alaa Bellarouch, Soufian El Faouzi, Abdellah Ouazane or Tawfik Bentayeb during the 23 October 2026 source review. Their four cards therefore use original AI-generated editorial illustrations. They are labeled in the caption and alt text and should not be treated as documentary photographs or official player portraits.
